Pulau Singa Besar - 06° 15' 10" N 99° 44' 58" E

Rock and roll, hourly rain squalls and 30kn winds.  Cannot recall THAT in the weather forecast!  Needless to say, we had a somewhat sleepless night and were very happy to see the sun rise.  In an uncomfortable rolling sea, we headed to Ko Lipe intending to tuck in behind, out of the swell but it seemed to wrap itself around the island and there were surf breaks on the beach!  Plan B – Malaysia!

So onto Langkawi we headed.  It was a great relief to head into the calm waters behind Pulau SInga Besar.  A swim off the boat restored our good humour and we watched the eagles soar above us and the monkeys playing on the beach.
