No trip to Phuket would be complete without a visit to Pantong Beach. Much cleaned up after a crack down by the new (ish) military government but the delights of drunken western tourists, street vendors, lady boys posing for photographs and many hawkers of the ping pong (and fish and bird and almost anything else you can think of) show remain.

Our dinner, as we have come to expect of Thailand, was fabulous and cheap. After a wander around, a beer and a Nutella and banana pancake, we headed back to the relative tranquility of Kata Beach.

  1. Never even went into Phuket in two times going there. Airport, to Lotus Superstore to the marina and out. Don't remember the marina but do recall it was about 2km out down a very shallow narrow channel to get out of the place.
